Completing a GMP audit is a verification activity to confirm the successful implementation of site policies.  GMP audits are necessary to ensure optimal quality is being delivered and industry standards are being met.

The most common GMP audit tool is to use a checklist. This checklist needs to include all of the areas that you are going to visually look at, a section on this checklist to record your evidence or comments and a method to tie to your corrective action process.
