Change Control [Approval Authorisation]

Change control [Approval Authorisation] is a systematic approach to managing all changes made to a product or system. The purpose is to ensure that no unnecessary changes are made, that all changes are documented and that services are not unnecessarily disrupted.

The Change Control process is split into three categories:

  1. OVERVIEW OF CHANGE.

Change type [i.e. process, recipe, equipment, ingredients], priority requirement [i.e. Immediate Change], duration of change, description of change, justification of change, validation of change and photos [where required].

  1. REVIEW OF THE HACCP PLAN.

List for the HACCP Team on how proposed changes will affect the sites HACCP Plan and the need for further actions, documentation and or training.

  1. APPROVAL.

Required approval from specific area management prior to change taking place.
